My two oldest boys had so much fun browsing through all the different costumes and picking out what they wanted to be for Halloween this year. As I’m due on Halloween, I wanted to start thinking about this early as I knew I would have too many other things to worry about come October. We started looking through the costumes and I gave the boys a few suggestions but they definitely had minds all of their own. My 5 year old decided he wanted to be an elf! Not a fighting type of elf but a Christmas elf! I thought that was hilarious but was happy to let him be whatever he wanted. He picked out a Velvet Elf Child Costume and absolutely loves his it! Plus, he really looks adorable in it! All the pieces that came with the costume have nice detailing and really make the costume look great! I love the booties/shoes that go on right over your child’s shoes and complete the look. The costume we received, however, did NOT come with the hat that the packaging and website both say it includes. I’m not sure why it was missing but it should be easy enough to find a Christmas hat to add to the costume and finish off his look.
My three year old is all about swords lately so when he came across all the knight costumes, he was excited and quickly decided that’s what he wanted to be. We selected the Knight of the Dragon Toddler Costume as it was our favorite look from the choices and picked out a Knights Sword and Shield set as well to complete the outfit. Together this costume was really affordable and so super cute with all the accessories! My son is in love with his costume and literally wore it for a week straight! Even when I’d tell him to take it off and go get dressed, he would somehow appear right back in the costume an hour or so later!! He loves the sword, shield, helmet and dragon crest pieces, though he doesn’t like having the helmet down in front of his eyes. I really love the shoulder pad accessories and that the arm sleeves look like a chain mail. I think these aspects add so much to the look of the costume. All the pieces have held up really well to already a ton of use! I am very happy that the sword and shield have held up to play and should still be useable come Halloween. The helmet is quite large on his head and it is difficult for him to see out the eye slats, so typically my son just wears the helmet with the visor part up and away from his face. Overall, I am very pleased with this costume and now I’m realizing my 3 year old just may need a few more for dress-up time seeing how much he loves his costume!
