Sentence Buildings by Learning Resources Review & Giveaway

We accept a variety of samples and/or compensation for links, posts, and other campaigns. Refer to the bottom of the post and our site-wide disclosure policy for full details.

Create sentence cities with 9 durable parts-of-speech buildings and over 300 double-sided cards!

In Sentence Buildings children are able to learn about different parts of speech using fun, colorful buildings and cards!  After sorting by color into each building, kids can make their own simple or complex sentences based on their age and grade.  The parts of speech included in the various buildings are: noun, verb, adjective, pronoun, conjunction, article, preposition, adverb, and punctuation.  This would be a great addition to any classroom and with so many cards, several students would be able to play at one time.

The Sentence Buildings set was a huge help for my second grader who struggles with reading and writing.  Being able to do something “hands on” is so much easier for him and helps him to learn new concepts much faster.  We started out with simple sentences and then were able to add adjectives to make them more interesting.  It was also a great refresher course for me!  All of the pieces were extremely well made and will definitely last though all five of my kids.  I have even lent Sentence Buildings to my child’s teacher for a couple weeks and the entire class seemed to really enjoy playing with it!  This is a fantastic learning tool by Learning Resources and I would recommend it for anyone with school aged children or for any classroom!

Sentence Buildings are great for ages 6-10 and can be purchased on the Learning Resources website.  They retail for $29.99 for the set.

About Ashleigh

Ashleigh is a mom of five children ages 4-14. She loves to keep active by running, playing volleyball, P90X and chasing her kids around! She also enjoys Bunko, playing and teaching piano, cooking, ping-pong, getting packages, watching Netflix, and trying out new stuff! She loves being a mom and sometimes feels like a 12-year-old kid when she gets to try out new toys and games with her kiddos :)

This would be great for a couple of things. I could teach my twins how to make sentences and they would understand more  and they could also play with them

Actually, I would be using this with grandkids…smiles. Sentence Buildings woulkd be great for us to work/play together or quiet play alone. I like the idea that you can use any or all of the buildings/parts of speech. This makes it work well for different ages. (I have 3) It would be interesting to see what the wee ones read and write with these.

Thanks for the opportunity to win Sentence Buildings!
