I was excited to finally be able to read the first Howard B. Wigglebottom book! My kids are always thrilled when we open the package and they see Howard staring back at them! We always end up reading it that very second. Since this book is about listening, I thought I would try and see if they would “listen” and wait to read it until after dinner. They, like always, weren’t okay with that and whined about having to wait. When we finally read the book I think they finally understood, if only a little bit, the importance of listening. They understood that when Howard wasn’t listening bad things could happen. When he started listening at the end, good things started happening! This book was a little shorter than the other Howard books we have, so we were able to read it a couple times through. I would recommend this, and every, Howard B. Wigglebottom to anyone who love great children’s books that teach powerful lessons.
