Pick It…Build It…Animate It…Guess It!
Morphology is an award winning board game that asks players to build words using objects like string, glass beads, colored cubes, sticks etc. On your team’s turn, you must draw a card and (using the objects mentioned) get your team to correctly guess the word. Every time your team gets it right, you move ahead on the lily pads heading for the finish line. Sound easy? Not quite! You may be asked to build with your eyes closed, only use your non-dominate hand, or only pick five objects! So that a variety of ages can play, Morphology cards have an easy and hard word on each one. There is a reason this game has one so many awards. It’s fun, challenging, simple to learn, and hilarious!
I think I have said this a bazillion times, but I LOVE board games! Especially ones that get the whole family involved, don’t require reading 10 pages of rules, and keep everyone entertained. Morphology was a perfect fit! I played with all five of my kids even though it was recommended for ages 13+. We had a blast! For the younger kids, I either let them pick something to create or I whispered something easy in their ear. My two oldest boys and I used the cards. It was way more challenging then I thought it would be…but for me that equals more fun! My 3-year-old came up with his own ideas…circle, star, sun…and got SO excited when we guessed them right! Playing with adults is just as fun but in a different way. When you think you have created a masterpiece and no one even comes close to guessing it, it’s kind of embarrassing! But then you start to figure out different ways to use the pieces and maneuver things around and it gets a bit easier. This game is great for parties, game nights, family activities or even to take on vacation! I would recommend Morphology to anyone who loves board games of any kind! You will not be disappointed!
