Dave Ramsey Total Money Makeover Book Review & Giveaway

Dave Ramsey’s best-selling book The Total Money Makeover was featured on The New York Times best seller list for 140 weeks! He combines his 17 years of financial teaching and counseling into a easy-to-follow 7 step plan for getting out of debt and having a Total Money Makeover. He lays to rest common myths about money such as the myth that “Debt is a tool and should be used to help create prosperity.” When I read The Total Money Makeover, it totally transformed my life and spurred me onto a path to dig my family out of debt. In 6 months we’ve already paid off over $10,000 in debt and we are still working hard towards being debt-free. Knowing the impact this book made on my life, I wanted to pass it forward to my friends and family members who I knew could benefit from this book as well. I was able to receive a 10-book package of The Total Money Makeover to pass out! It was so fun getting to pass along a book that has meant a lot to my family to our friends.

I also received two other great books from Dave Ramsey’s line of books that I was excited to read myself. First, I read through Gazelles, Baby Steps, and 37 Other Things Dave Ramsey Taught Me About Debt, by Jon Accuff. This book was really fun to read with the hilarious witty takes on Dave’s book. It is an easy to read book that is a fun read for anyone who has read Dave Ramsey’s books or watched the Financial Peace University. He talks about funny topics like, how to baby-proof your home against 27-year-old kids trying to move into your basement or how to finally make your “We’re Debt Free!” phone call. This was a book I couldn’t put down as it had me smirking and enjoying my own process of working off debt.

Next, I got to read Dave’s latest book, EntreLeadership. This book is based off Dave Ramsey’s own used and proven, mistakes and all, attempts to teach leadership. He explains in the book that being an entrepreneur himself, he wanted to teach his employees entrepreneur skills. However, he didn’t want them to be so entrepreneurial that they might set themselves up with failures with too much risk. He also wanted to help them develop real leadership skill, which thus became the basis of what he wanted to teach people to become EntreLeaders. This book was inspiring to me as somewhat of a small business and gave me lots of insights in not only how to try to improve myself and my company, but to also hopefully provide lessons that can help my review team grow and learn as well as they continue to take on a bigger role in my small piece of the world. This book is a fabulous read for business owners and those who hope to be there someday or want to improve their own skills in business. “Whether you lead a team of two or two hundred, you can grow your business to where you want it to be. Reaching your dream is no longer a question of ‘What if we could.’ You can. EntreLeadership is how.”

EntreLeadership is currently being offered with a limited-time bonus including 2 Audio Lessons. It is also on sale for just $14.95. Gazelles, Baby Steps, and 37 Other Things Dave Ramsey Taught Me About Debt book retails for just $10.
