I was so excited for my kids to get their first graphic novels! I don’t know why I never thought about it before, especially since we love books and reading. I wish I had entered the graphic novel world a long time ago because then, maybe, my son would be reading better! He is in 2nd grade and really struggles with staying focused. He thoroughly enjoyed reading these graphic novels because there is so much color, and the words are broken up into small sections. He didn’t feel as overwhelmed and I don’t think he even realized he was reading a story with a beginning, middle and end until he finished! His favorite was the LEGO Ninjago. He keeps his novel with his LEGO stuff and gets it out while he is playing! I would recommend these graphic novels to any kid (or adult) who loves bright, colorful pictures, great stories, and well-loved characters.
