Anderson Seafoods Review & $200 Gift Certificate Giveaway!

Anderson Seafoods was first established in 1979 with the goal to provide premium seafood products with superior customer service. Since their inception, Anderson Seafoods has evolved and grown to a full-scale, state-of-the-art operation and is recognized as the leading authority in a seafood industry! The are ranked among the top 2% of all food companies that are USDC inspected. Their products are hand-selected and then packaged in an Eco-friendly container designed specifically to keep the contents at optimum temperatures. Products are shipped overnight right to your door for the freshest seafood, typically 3-8 days fresher then what you can find at your typical grocery store!

We were given a great selection of Anderson Seafoods products to try and enjoy! Our first box included all the frozen products and we noticed right away how much care went into the packaging to ensure that even a box being sent to Phoenix should fare well with frozen foods! We also received a second shipment of fresh fish to keep the fish all at fresh levels, not frozen! I was really impressed that Anderson Seafoods took the care and attention to include Ghirardelli Chocolate squares in both packages!

My husband has been in heaven with all the seafood! He loves to cook and try new recipes and meats so when I told him about Anderson Seafoods he was dreaming of all the different seafood he wanted to try! The first thing he cooked was the Wild Mexican Shrimp and Crab Cocktail Claws. We cooked up the shrimp by butterflying them and sauteing them in butter, mixed with minced garlic, and crushed red pepper. The shrimp were very large and very flavorful. They were some of the best I’ve ever had. Cooking the crab claws was very easy as we just boiled them until they were cooked and ate them with some dipping sauce. I’ve never had claws before and was amazed at how easy it was to get the meat out of them and how much was actually inside each claw. These too were very tasty and would definitely recommend them.

Next, he picked out thresher shark to try! This is what he had to say about cooking up the thresher shark: “The thresher shark amazed me. I made a rub for the shark consisting of: crushed red pepper, nutmeg, paprika, onion salt, pepper, minced rosemary and basil, lemon, minced garlic and onions and crushed them all up in my stone seasoning mixer and rubbed it on top. I then cooked the shark on the stove top in a small amount of butter. It turned out amazing. I loved the rich flavor and how it just flaked apart.” He then served the thresher shark with teriyaki sauce for my piece as I can’t handle a really strong fish flavor and he wasn’t sure how strong the flavor would be. Even I thought the thresher shark was good and my 3 year old shared my piece and wouldn’t stop eating and ended up eating nearly my entire piece he loved it so much! My husband is already dreaming up his recipes for the Salmon and Mahi Mahi to try next!

I also entered the Omega Water sweep (I think, I am really confused…I am too old to be doing this I guess…) Don’t have kids, not a mom, and I have to join all these “mommy” sites. They are fine for moms I guess…makes me kinda sad.

I’m not sure where to post my comment, but hoping here will do; I checked out the Simple Halloween Desserts. They were really cute, but easy (I only do easy). The witch hats were cute; Keebler stripe cookies w/ Hershey kiss on top w/ orange to anchor kisses.
And PLEASE I am trying to enter one contest, & keep being sent one EACH one to enter ANOTHER one!!! I am getting so confused, I probably won’t finish the ones I really wanted! (Please don’t do it unless it’s for an easy one!)
