We were able to order a unit of chicken from Zaycon Foods which included 40 pounds of chicken. I went down to my local pick-up location which was about 20 minutes from my home, not too bad of a commute. When I arrived everything was very well organized and ran quickly and easily. You stay in your car the whole time and are “checked-in” and given a card that indicates how many units you purchased. You then continue down 30 feet ahead to the back of the truck and trade your unit card over for your purchase. This system worked so well that there was no confusion and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes!

The chicken in my order was 100% natural with no added hormones, additives or artificial ingredients. All the chicken comes packaged in wholesale packaging in large double lobed pairs. I pulled out my kitchen scale and a bunch of freezer zipper bags and got to work dividing up the chicken. For us, approximately 2 lbs per bag seemed perfect. A great amount for a dinner meal or perfect for two smaller meals like adding chicken into pasta or quesedillas. It wasn’t hard to divide the meat and package it up, though it did take a bit of time. It wasn’t that much different than when I purchase meat at the grocery store as I tyipcally repackage down into smaller portions after we cook our first meal from the package. I really appreciate being able to have all this high quality meat on hand in my freezer so I am well stocked. Plus, that meat has been really good!! We’ve been using it with all of our chicken recipes like chicken tacos and terriyaki chicken. Zaycon Foods is an excellent way to get high quality meats and fruits in a bulk order to let you get top quality meats at a great price!
