ThinkGeek Gifts for Men! Review & Giveaway

Holiday Gift Ideas

ThinkGeek has so many neat and unique items that you’d be crazy not to check them out for Holiday Gift Ideas! My husband and I had a great time browsing their selection for gift ideas for Men! I first went for something ultra-practical but would make a great stocking stuffer for your computer geek! ThinkGeek’s USB 7 Port Hub with Power Switches offers a fun way to hook up all your USB powered devices! The strip has 7 slots and each slot has an On/Off power switch to save energy when some of the ports aren’t in use. This USB hub works for both Windows and Mac and can run your USB devices at full speed (12Mbps) and low speed (1.5Mbps). This hub has been a huge help for me already! I used to have to play the “shuffle” game of unplugging and replugging in my USB cables all the time! I now have 5 out of the 7 slots already filled but usually just have 2 or 3 of them “on”.

If you have a creative spouse that likes to doodle, leave messages, take notes or get inspired at work, or maybe practice calculus, the Boogie Board LCD Tablet is a paperless solution! It works by sensing pressure on the surface and can be written on using the included stylus or use your finger, pen cap, or whatever else you come up with! It can be written on over and over and erased with the touch of a button. I had so much fun playing with the Boogie Board and coming up with all kinds of uses! It is small enough that it fits easily in my purse so I’ve written up my grocery list, to-do list, random doodles and pictionary with my kids, and have been having my 5 year old practice his handwriting as well. The Boogie Board is ultra portable at just 1/8″ thick and weighs only 4.2 ounces.

My husband has always loved ThinkGeek humorous t-shirts and this time we selected their Go For Launch shirt! My boys think this shirt is really fun also as they have launched bottle rockets with us and love all thinks relating to space and rockets! And on that note, all men need a desk toy! The first item my husband picked out was the USB Rocket Launcher! The Rocker Launcher is powered by USB and then you install a desktop application that allows you to adjust the launcher and then fire! We’ve had a lot of fun randomly firing off the soft foam missiles at each other and the kids when not expected!

Finally, the Coffee Cup Power Inverter is not only really practical and useful, it’s just really cool as well! It’s a 200 watt power inverter with two 3-pronged AC plugs as well as a USB port. The design makes it simple to take along and store in the car and fits into standard sized cup holders. It fit our cup holder perfectly and didn’t rattle around or tip over at all. The inverter plugs into your cigarette lighter socket and has an 18″ cord. The cord is really quite short, but worked just fine for getting it from the outlet over to the cup holder. It shouldn’t be a problem if you plan to use the main center console cup holders. This inverter has been SO useful for charging our cell phones, Jabra headset, Portable DVD players, Nintendo DS, and we will be using it on our road trips for laptops as well!
