“The Muppets” is in theaters now!  Here is the official synopsis, the official trailer and my review…

On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With secret, signature, celebrity cameos, “The Muppets” is in theaters now!

I was able to take my 3 and 7 year old boys to “The Muppets” and they both loved it!  I grew up in the 80′s and remember watching the Muppets as a kid, but had forgotten how funny they are!  Sometimes the shows I remember being hilarious aren’t nearly as great after 15 years, but the Muppets are timeless!  They were even more funny that I remembered!  I always enjoy watching shows that I loved when I was young, with my kids and this is a perfect example.  “The Muppets” was made for children and adults of all ages!  You might not be laughing at the same things as the kid next to you but I can guarantee you will be laughing!  My boy’s favorite part was the “Forget You” by Camilla and the Chickens. I loved the “Man or Muppet” by Jason Segel.  It was clever, catchy and I can’t get it out of my head!  (I ended up getting the soundtrack as soon as I got home)  “The Muppets” was a fantastic movie and I can’t wait until it comes out on DVD so we can watch it again and again!

Disclosure: I received tickets to The Muppets in exchange for my honest review. I was not compensated in any other manner. The opinions expressed above are my own and any claims should be verified on the sponsor’s site.

About Ashleigh

Ashleigh is a mom of five children ages 4-14. She loves to keep active by running, playing volleyball, P90X and chasing her kids around! She also enjoys Bunko, playing and teaching piano, cooking, ping-pong, getting packages, watching Netflix, and trying out new stuff! She loves being a mom and sometimes feels like a 12-year-old kid when she gets to try out new toys and games with her kiddos :)

My granddaughter would love this movie. Her mom loved the Muppets when she was a child. I probably will see the movie with both of them!

I can’t wait to watch it. My 19 month old doesn’t make it all the way through a movie yet though. I guess we will catch it when we can enjoy it at home.

We’ll have to see it when it comes out on Netflix – we don’t get out a whole lot with the baby!

Longtime Muppet fans will undoubtedly have more fun than young ones, but
for the most part, it’s a witty, delightful romp, that shows you that
you can still be funny, without ever being mean still in 2011. Good
review. Check out mine when you get the chance.
