Relish! was founded by Ann Bender and Karen Hutcherson, two busy Colorado mothers that found themselves in the what’s for dinner trap. Both women love to cook but didn’t have time to sift through cookbooks and magazines for evening meals and what’s worse, found themselves at the grocery store several times per week. Family dinners are becoming a thing of the past and they vowed to develop quick and easy dinner ideas.
With Relish! each week you can choose from 15 new menus, or browse through categories of past recipes. Choose from kid-friendly, quick, simple-gourmet, vegetarian and more. You can then print out your customized grocery shopping list and recipes. Relish! also offers $12 dinner ideas and holiday features. Relish! membership is only $7/month.
I have really enjoyed using Relish! the past few weeks. I often get into a rut with cooking dinner and end up making pancakes or running to get take-out because I haven’t planned anything for the week or made it to the grocery store. With Relish! I’ve actually been excited to pick out the recipes I want to try, and then my shopping list is printed for me! I just add the basics like milk, eggs, and bread and I am good to go. I’ve been able to make way fewer trips to the store and actually have a meal plan for the week which makes a healthier, happier family. My two favorite recipes I have tried so far are the Asian Beef Lettuce Wraps and the Cheese Crusted Avocado Sandwiches. The website is super easy to use and I have no problem finding meals that will work for my family and aren’t too time intensive or gourmet. I really appreciate the variety it brings to my table, and how it has made preparing dinner so much less work and a lot more enjoyable!
