Fitbit Ultra Review & Giveaway

Holiday Gift Ideas

The Fitbit Ultra is an activity tracker that can help you in all aspects of meeting your fitness goals.  By tracking everything from calories to hours slept, the Fitbit Ultra will help motivate you to become more active allowing you to reach your goals faster than ever before! Here are some of the features…

Activity Tracking

Fitbit makes every step you take a step toward better fitness, even on your busiest days. Fitbit Ultra’s super sensitive 3-D motion sensor tracks your day down to details a pedometer can’t catch, showing your exact steps taken, calories burned, and distance traveled. The new altimeter tracks floors climbed so you can monitor this heart-healthy activity, encouraging you to take the stairs at home or work, or climb a little further on your next hike.

Sleep Tracking

We all know solid sleep is hugely important to well-being and weight loss. But until now the question has been: just how do you track sleep? The answer — the Fitbit Tracker. Slip your Tracker into the Fitbit sleep wristband before bed, and it will keep a watchful eye as you slumber. When your info uploads to Fitbit.com, you’ll see not only how long you sleep, but how well you sleep.

The Tracker monitors how many times and how long you wake up during the night. Over time, you can apply what you learn to better understanding what helps you sleep better.

Display

Check your real-time stats at any time with a quick glance at your Fitbit Ultra. Switch between steps, distance, calories burned, and floors climbed with a single button. With every peek, you’ll get a little burst of motivation to fit in a few extra steps.

Stats and Graphs

Your activity and sleep stats come to life on Fitbit.com, creating a visual map of your progress that gives you a clear picture of how you’re doing and where you’re headed. Use your custom dashboard to analyze your day and chart your progress over time. You can keep score with yourself and see how you compare to other people in your age and fitness range.

Yea!   Another product to help me stay healthy!  After I looked into what the Fitbit Ultra was all about I couldn’t wait to get it!  I feel like I am pretty active already but love having something that can spell it out for me, especially on days when I am not motivated.  All I have to do is look at my Fitbit flower shrinking (that probably makes no sense until you check out the website) and it makes me want to get up and do something!  I also have been noticing a huge difference in how many steps I take each day.  I try to beat my total from the day before by parking further away and not complaining about extra trips up and down my stairs.  The mode where you can see how many calories you have burned has been a huge motivator as well.  I wear it while I’m running or working out and it keeps track of everything.  My other favorite feature is the sleep tracker.  It took me a while to realize that I needed to wear the armband to have it track my sleep accurately, but once I got it working I have dramatically changed my sleeping patterns!  I went from going to bed at 2-2:30AM to going to bed at around 11 or 12. The extra sleep has actually helped me lose weight, and prevented me having those “not so diet friendly” midnight snacks.  I absolutely LOVE the Fitbit Ultra and think it would be an awesome gift for anyone….especially those with New Year’s resolutions to get fit!

The Fitbit Ultra can be purchased on their website and retails for $99.95.
