Six Flags Magic Mountain

Ashleigh and I headed to LA on a girls trip to enjoy a day away from the kids enjoying some massive coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain! We had a goal to ride on ALL the big rides and we were thrilled when we were actually able to accomplish this! It was no small task as Magic Mountain is seriously PACKED with massive amazing coasters! Every direction you look you see the huge curving rails!

Six Flags Green Lantern Ride

Six Flags Magic Mountain has the first spinning coaster in the US called the Green Lantern: First Flight. It’s track has a never-been-done-before completely vertical 107′ rise that leads to a zigzag pattern track and seats that spin you 360 degrees as you go over corners leading you down! This ride was SO unique, but just about every ride at the park felt that way! There were rides where you were standing, laying, danging feet, spinning throughout the ride, you name it! I had never seen so many DIFFERENT and awesome rides!

Six Flags Magic Mountain Bat car

Here I am above just outside Green Lantern in the DC Comics section of Six Flags! Notice the Batcar behind me? Awesome! I have to say though, X2 was my favorite ride. You are loaded into the seats and then they are laid back and pulled up the first massive hill on your back so you have NO idea how much further you will rise or when you’ll reach the top and go plummeting over the edge. This ride is SO fast at 76 miles an hour and with curves and twists in their and chairs that spin and rotate when you’re not expecting it I literally felt surprised by every twist, turn, and corner and LOVED every minute of it!

Now through October 31st the park is having a Fright by Night Fright Fest event! For those that love terror and to be scared there’s not a better way to time to visit. The park has mazes, scare zones, shows and even extended park hours! But what was really fun is the rides even get in on the fun! One famous ride which is often seen in movies, the Colossus, lets you ride the ride backwards exclusively during the Halloween season during Fright Fest! Plus, several of the rides run in the dark with no lights on the tracks after 7pm! If shows are more your thing their is a Hypnotist show and a few music and dance shows as well! We loved the rides in the dark but didn’t bother with the mazes as we wanted to be sure to get in all the thrill rides!

Now through October 31st, when you buy a day admission you can visit all year for free! Admission is just $61.99! Or you can buy your tickets online to score your daily admission for just $39.99. Fright Fest mazes are $8 or $10 admission at the gate.

Disclosure: I received 2 Six Flags Magic Mountain Park Passes for free for this review. I was not compensated in any other manner. The opinions expressed above are my own and any claims should be verified on the sponsor’s site.
