While many people go after those that are hip and popular, these days geek is chic! I have dated “geeks” in the past and might even consider my husband a geek as he does computer programming and has a very witty and sarcastic sense of humor. His jokes are really funny, but almost ALWAYS overlooked and instead of coming across funny they just confuse whoever he was talking to! For those that get his humor they are always laughing and really enjoy his wit. More often then not, though, whomever he is talking to has the comment fly right over their head and don’t catch the humor or wit behind the comment at all. It is very hilarious to watch!

In The Big Bang Theory you find relationships that are out of the norm where a beautiful girl can fall in love with a geek even if he can be socially awkward. This show is a funny take into a geeks world and dating life! For example, in the first episode of Season 4, Sheldon goes on his first date who was matched to him through a dating site. The two decided it is their duty to gift the world with their offspring and begin dating, though they need the help of Penny to drive them to dinner!
