Lascal is the maker of BuggyBoard which is an attachable platform that lets an older child stand and ride on the stroller. This is a great solution if you have two that need a stroller but don’t want the bulk of a double stroller or don’t always need the option of pushing two children. Their BuggyBoard Maxi has a large anti-slip surface and side protection frame with safety in mind. It has a large enough ground clearance that you can comfortable walk behind the BuggyBoard without kicking it with each step. It is built to be very adjustable with adjustments for leveling, width, as well as an extender kit for distance from the back of the stroller. This makes for a prefect fit that is extremely easy to adjust. BuggyBoard can also be removed with ease from their strap connectors. You can release the board from the straps, and reattach as needed with very little effort. The BuggyBoard does not need to be removed for storage, but can be if desired or just to remove when not needed for use.
We received a BuggyBoard Maxi for review. I was extremely impressed with how EASY it was to install!!! You thread the strap around your strollers frame and then pull it tight. You then make the strap immovable by tightening the strap with a connector bolt. This bolt also means the whole strap can be easily removed as well if/when needed. Next, you choose the best placement for the pins that will attach to the strap. This adjustment changes how far spaced the BuggyBoard will be from the stroller frame itself. You can also use the extender kit if you need a further spacing from the frame for your child’s comfort. Then, you just click the pins into the connectors on the strap. Level the platform as needed and you’re ready to stroll! If you want to remove the platform for storage or when it is not needed you simply slide a release button down and lift each arm out. I have absolutely loved the BuggyBoard! It is the perfect solution for me as I wanted a very lightweight stroller rather than a double with two heavy children aboard. However, there are times when I really need to be able to push more than one child and the BuggyBoard is perfect for this! I can attach the BuggyBoard only when I want my older children to have the option of being pushed as they would always choose to be pushed rather than walk if given the option. Then, when we have placed like the Zoo or a longer walk when I know they will get tired from walking, I can have the BuggyBoard there for their use! Both boys LOVE being pushed while standing on the BuggyBoard! I love that it isn’t any more difficult to push my stroller and I can still walk with ease. I do have to stand a little bit further back with the board attached, but only slightly.
BuggyBoard Maxi comes in three color choices: red/black, black and blue/black. It also comes with an extender kit that lets you space the board a bit further from the stroller when needed as well as one connector kit. You can purchase additional connector kits separately to be able to easily switch your BuggyBoard between your strollers if you have more than one stroller. The BuggyBoard can be used from approximately 2-5 with a maximum weight of 44lbs.
BuggyBoard does have two available sizes, Mini and Maxi. The size difference really relates to the width of your stroller as well as tubing size so you can get an appropriate fit for attaching to your stroller.
