Do you guys remember my BEFORE pictures?? I posted all about how my backyard looked before along with some wish-lists and dreams for how I would update my space! Well, now I’m back to show you the results!! Here’s a reminder of my backyard before:

Some of the items pictured we had prior to the makeover, like the chair frames, that I was able to combine into the design to allow the funds to go a bit further. My design plan was inspired by the tips found through PartyBluprints Blog. She suggested that for small spaces that you should stick to the basics and go with more solids then heavy patterns. She also mentioned a great grill is ESSENTIAL and we badly needed to upgrade ours, so that took up the bulk of our $700 budget. We also knew we would need a large umbrella as we live in Arizona so there is always an abundance of heat and sun. Here’s a breakdown of what we purchased with our $700 that was given to us to complete the mini-makeover:

- 10.5′ Offset Umbrella = $179.99
- 2 Red Chair Cushions ($18.74/each) = $37.48
- Folding Side Table = $14.99
- Hi Flow Hose Nozzle = $19.99

- 2 9″ Planters ($6.39/each) = $12.78
- 2 Plants ($4.99 + 11.49) = $16.48
- Barbecue Tool Set = $9.99

- 2 bags of Play Sand (for Umbrella) = $5.98
- Plus 8% sales tax and I was *JUST* below my budget!
Backyard Party!
Since we had a fun backyard to now show off we invited some friends and family over and had an backyard party! We drew our menu inspiration from The PartyBluprints Blog again and had a “Fired-Up” Mixed Grill Party! The food was all DELICIOUS and especially the meat with a bit of spicy kick to it (which is optional). I LOVED the desert as well and it was a definite crowd pleaser!!!
I have to say overall I had such a great experience throughout my shopping trips! I was there at Kmart shopping 3 different times (plus a price match trip) and was totally blown away by what a great selection they had!!! It was extremely hard to limit down my choices but I am really thrilled with the items we did choose and love my new look! I will probably head back to pick up some folding or stacking extra chairs for my next party as well as I saw some I really liked!
