Tron: Evolution is Video Game based around the movie Tron: Legacy which aired in theaters this past December. The storyline acts to fill in the gaps between the original TRON film that was released in 1982 and it’s sequel, TRON: Legacy. The game is an adventure game set in a digital world with disc-based combat. Tron: Evolution “focuses on revealing a deep, immersive story while delivering lots of action, challenging combat and thrills.” This game offers high mobility combat using the light disk and martial arts movements to battle. It also includes light cycle racing and combat using the rules and movements of Tron’s world. You can also play the game online multiplayer and continue to progress your character.

I received a copy of Tron: Evolution for the XBOX 360 to review. This game allows you to climb on the walls, run across them and jump, and a ton of really neat moves. The controls a bit confusing at first to really get a hang of the moves and remember which button combos let you do which move, but once you get them down the moves are really neat! You are also able to level up your character as you go through the game and acquire new light discs to help you battle the enemies. This game felt almost like a puzzle game to me as you had to make just the right jumps and movements to make your way through the levels, while continuing to battle throughout the game. The only issue I really had with the game is the camera kept rotating to odd views and I would have to rotate the camera around to see what I was trying to do.

You can find Tron: Evolution Video game on Amazon, Disney Store online, as well as in stores locally. It is available for the PC, XBOX 360, XBOX Live, Playstation 3, PSP, Wii, and Nintendo DS. The game retails from $19.99 to $39.99 depending on the platform.
