Toy Story 3: The Video Game – Review!

We accept a variety of samples and/or compensation for links, posts, and other campaigns. Refer to the bottom of the post and our site-wide disclosure policy for full details.

Toy Story 3: The Video Game follow Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the gang from Toy Story 3 as they ride, run, and fly through familiar scenes making sure no toy is left behind. The game also has a Toy Box mode that lets you play in an open world with Andy’s toys. You can play as Buzz, Woody, or Jessie and choose what activities you want to play! This mode includes missions to complete and rewards you can earn to unlock new toys! This game is rated Everyone 10+ for cartoon violence.

I was able to review a copy of this game! I love adventure story games and this one was really fun as well! I did think that there were parts of it that were a bit hard like trying to jump across a moving train and not miss the small platform. The game did just let me retry until I was able to make the jumps and other parts I had troubles with though. I do think the story mode would be best for 10 and up though with the sometimes difficult moves. The game does require the use of a nunchuk as well, which is hard for a younger child to be able to control. Story mode was really cute and I liked how I could play how I wanted and explore the map. There are a lot of missions you can try to complete and as  you complete them you earn gold to buy toys. The first toy that is unlocked is Woody’s pal, Roundup! When riding Roundup you can play timed race tracks and you are able to travel twice as fast around the town while on him! Overall I thought this was a really fun game that I will be able to get a lot more play time out of.

Great review. My son is 4 and he's wanted this for his DS. I think I may have to wait till he's a bit older.

My son and I play this together. I like the Town missions, so when I play that's all we do. I helped him with some of the other story levels, but to be honest, he's better than I am these days. I got frustrated on the Zurg level and dropped out, he made it up in two tries. It's a fun game though!
