Chuggington Interactive Railway is based on the fun animated TV series for preschoolers. These playsets feature SmartTalk technology that allows the engines from this series to recognize and interact with one another as well as with buildings and tunnels in the collection. The more engines, tunnels, and buildings that are added, the more interactive the world becomes! There are several different sets available as well as add-on pieces and individual trains for sale.
I was able to review one of their newer sets from this line of train tracks, the Chuggington Wash & Fuel Starter Set. Here’s the description for the set: “Brewster is a strong and solid diesel-electric train built for heavy loads. He doesn’t always understand his own strength, which can make him a bit awkward and clumsy. Take him through the Chug Wash and hear him react as to the different wash cycles. Then, head over to the Fuel Depot where he can fill up. Also includes an overhead signal and figure 8 layout.”
This set is super cute! My boys LOVED it! They have always been really into trains as we live near train tracks. They loved giving the train a wash, fueling him up, and even switching the right from red to green and sending the train down the hills! The only down side to this set is it only included one train, which made for some fighting and bickering between two young boys. They both loved playing with the set when it was their turn for the train though! They especially loved hearing all the train had to say and listening as he responding to being washed and refueled!
This set is geared for children ages 3 and up. You can find this set exclusively at Toys ‘R’ Us. The Wash & Fuel starter set retails for $39.99.
