Workman Publishers carry some great books for toddlers! I received a copy of “Beautiful Oops” and “Perfect Piggies” to review. “Perfect Piggies” is a book by Sandra Boynton, I love her books and have almost all of them so I was excited to get to review her latest book! The book is also formed into a song which you can download for free. It talks all about how pigs are perfectly round and made to be just like they are. It’s a fun book and the cover even has cut out holes in the pigs nose that my boys liked!
“Beautiful Oops” is an artist’s dream book for their kids! It teaches children that mistakes are okay and you can be creative and make something beautiful out of anything! I loved the lesson the book illustrated and each page is so engaging and interactive! This is SUCH a fun book! There are rips in the pages, flaps to lift, holes to look through, bent corners, and so much more!
I was also received “Potato Chip Science” which is a science kit and book in one that comes cleverly packaged in a potato chip bag with the items you need for 29 fun experiments. It is geared for children aged 8-12. The kit looks super fun and one of the activities I thought looked really unique and fun was the “Electric Wave”. In that experiment you cut out a sports fan from the chip bag and tape him to a counter. Then you take a balloon that you make full of static electricity by rubbing it on your head! Next, you bring the balloon close to the sports fan and watch him do the wave! This book makes learning fun and is packed with illustrations and tidbits!
You can find Indestructibles in stores locally or on Amazon.
They retail for $4.95 each!
