TimeBuddy – Review & Giveaway

We accept a variety of samples and/or compensation for links, posts, and other campaigns. Refer to the bottom of the post and our site-wide disclosure policy for full details.

TimeBuddy is a fun and interactive time management tool for children. It helps to build routines and allow the child to make decisions about how they use their time. It is fully customizable and comes with 150+ activity stickers, pre-recorded and personalized messages, and a 24 hour clock. Children don’t need to be able to tell time to use the Time Buddy clock. TimeBuddy was just introduced in August of 2010 and came about when the creator was attending a parenting class and learning about the importance of schedules and a discussion arose with the problem that preschool aged children didn’t understand the time concept. The creator then got the idea of using a clock with visual cues to help the child understand about scheduling.

We were able to review and customize a TimeBuddy! My son wanted 2 red and 2 green and he had fun helping me pick out some activities he could do during the date as well as placing certain times and activities that I wanted him to included, such as bedtime at a specific time as well as meals. We had fun setting up the TimeBuddy together and he liked me recording him a custom message. He can very easily take off the screen and pull off the stickers though so they all stick up slightly now. Having the TimeBuddy has been nice to not have him telling me over and over “What time is it” and “Can I do this or that”. Now I can tell him he can play on the computer later or whatever it may be. There are 3 custom alarms you can set that will go off for one minute alerting your child of a specific activity you might want them alerted to. I set it at the end of computer time to let him know his time was up and it was a great way to let him know it was time to stop the games. You can turn TimeBuddy to your custom message, leave it generic, or add your child’s name into the generic message. You can also set it to play no sounds, when you get tired of your child pressing the button OVER and OVER, like mine do!
